Casino night
Customers have casino nights for several reasons.
1. As a fundraiser for a none profit organization.
2. Employee rewards program.
3. Corporate meetings and Trade Shows
4. Customer appreciation events
Fundraiser
By far the most popular casino night.
The guests make a donation to the sponsoring organization (this is to keep it legal) This may be $50 or $100
and are invited to the Casino Night. Each guest is presented with an envelope containing one raffle ticket and
five thousand dollars in casino money. They place half the raffle ticket in the raffle drum at this time and then proceed to the tables. At many events the guest also receives a name badge.
The guest changes the paper money into chips at the tables and start to play one of the many games. The friendly dealers are local people or may be local celebrities, they are there to teach the guests how to play the games and to have a good time. During the time the tables are open many guests may wish to visit the cash bar or buffet.
Many none profits will also have a silent auction going on at this time. Generally the tables are open for three hours.
An announcement is made fifteen minutes before the tables close and then at this time the guests turn in their chips to the dealers who exchange them for paper casino money. The cashier exchanges the casino paper money for raffle tickets, one ticked for every $10,000 the player turns in. These raffle tickets are then placed in the drum with the others.
Any guest who was unlucky at the tables still has the one ticket in the drum. The lucky players will have several tickets increasing the chances of winning the door prizes.
Door prizes are generally donated items or "open box items" from local stores. Many of the prizes are specific to the organization holding the event. Sometimes Georgia lottery tickets are included with the prizes.
A local celebrity will draw out the winning tickets and the customers will claim the prizes.
